Paolo Tegazzin
MD & Founder

Paolo Tegazzin, founder of Maxipro, was born in Padova in the North East of Italy. This region is known not only for its entrepreneurial mindset evidenced by several successful SME’s, but also for its pleasant geographical position, as it is surrounded by the Alps, Adriatic sea and Garda lake, for its famous towns (Venice, Verona) and fantastic food and wine. After completing his MSc in mechanical engineering at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, his early career was about designing and industrializing light alloy components for the automotive industry (Speedline, then AMCAST and now Ronal Group) and then designing and installing offshore platforms in the North Sea for the largest Italian Oil & Gas company (Saipem, a unit of ENI). During this time, Paolo accomplished some outstanding and distinctive achievements such as the first aluminium wheel hub for Mercedes Benz heavy trucks capable to withstand EU homologation tests and supporting the first offshore platform removal in the North Sea (Exxon Odin Project). Eventually, moving to the UK, he specialized in operational excellence by attending the Fellowship in Manufacturing Management (FMM) at Cranfield University, an outstanding master equivalent course that, following a training on campus, allowed students to deploy best management practices (e.g. lean techniques, 6-sigma) in organizations, supported by experienced consultants of the university. During this period, Paolo worked for companies such as Agilent Technologies while spinning-off from HP, Uponor, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Npower.

And...

Paolo, after completing the MBA at London Business School in the UK, started to develop his career towards what is his expertise today: business improvement and transformation, first working with Kimberly Clark (healthcare and FMCG) in very large transformation supply chain programs and then in Brakes Bros (distribution & foodservice), owned by private equity CD&R and today part of Sysco. Here, he developed and implemented several operations strategic initiatives. In 2005, Paolo decided to establish Maxipro Ltd to support both SMEs and large organizations to achieve financial objectives through a more versatile leadership style (see leadership solutions) aimed at being more effective in managing the business and accelerating the realization of the related programs while being consistent with his own Critical Success Factors.
