Change Management

The main concern in Change Management is to ensure the readiness and commitment of a business to deliver change (namely the execution of strategic initiatives to achieve a new level of performance) mainly from an organisational perspective. Accordingly, a change agent works cross-functionally with the executive management, stakeholders and program & project leaders to ensure the organisation is sufficiently engaged in defining, implementing and realising the strategic initiatives.

Key activities a change agent deals with are:

  • Familiarising with the culture, values and politics of an organisation to customise the change program
  • Deploying a communication plan to make the organisation aware of the change and eventually secure senior management’s sponsorship and buy-in from key stakeholders
  • Creating a sense of urgency across the organisation that change is needed – Status quo is not an option, thus triggering the mobilisation of the organisation towards change
  • Developing a stakeholder analysis to measure the organisational readiness to change, identify possible resistance & develop corrective actions accordingly
  • Preserving strong support and alignment from the senior management to maintain traction and focus on delivering change
  • Using the improvement and/or transformation of business processes and upgrade of the technology (e.g. ERP, automation) and data management as strong enablers to initiate change
  • Accordingly, working with HR and the management to redesign the organisation and rejuvenate the culture (e.g. learning organisation, continuous improvement mind-set) particularly to sustain change
  • Installing proper KPIs to monitor the progress of the organisation change
  • Building new capabilities mostly via a thorough training program - Maxipro can support, but does not develop such solutions.

Maxipro has been heavily involved in change management since 2004 when in Kimberly Clark (formally trained in CAP - Change Acceleration Process developed by General Electric). Since then, Change management is embedded in any work Maxipro has delivered so far with outstanding results.
